Home PageWelcome to FUUSA wiki! This wiki, for the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany, is an online forum for discussion among FUUSAns of common issues, interests, and plans. It's mainly intended to be an alternative to email communications among members of a FUUSA group, such as Green Sanctuary Committee
Social Responsibilities Council Statement on Hydraulic Fracturing
There is also a Bulletin Board, for miscellaneous topics that fall outside the purview of any of these groups. A wiki is just like an ordinary web site in presenting information in a set of linked pages, so moving around in it with a web browser and reading the information in this form should be quite familiar. What's different is that wiki users can also contribute to the content by starting, adding to, or editing discussions; announcing or updating events as appropriate; or even holding votes on policy decisions or other matters. On the wiki, the information can be properly organized, and not constantly repeated the way it often is in a long string of emails. Some members of the GSC are already actively using the wiki. If you are a member of the GSC, or just interested either in what they are doing or in examples of ways the wiki can be used, please have a look at their section. If members of other groups, such as the Social Responsibilities Council, Peace Team, Philosophy Group, etc., would like assistance in setting up a section of the wiki for their group, please contact David Musser. To protect the privacy of personal information, many pages of the wiki require entering a password to read or edit them. See the Password Request page for how to obtain the password. Once you've entered the password, it's not required for any other pages visited during the same browsing session. Please bookmark (add as a Favorite) this page. You may also want to visit All Recent Changes and bookmark it (and, if you have a Recent Changes bookmark or any other bookmarks for an old FUUSA wiki site, delete them). But now there's another way of keeping posted on what's happening on the wiki: Email Notification. Do you have comments or questions about the general idea of using the wiki in lieu of email, or concerning details about how it all works? Please see concerns about the wiki to see if they've already been addressed, but if you have further comments or questions, please add them in the Comment Box on that page. |
